Struck Launches New Microsite for Specialized

MAR 10_2008
Salt Lake City, UT – March 10, 2008 - Ryan Goodwin, Executive Design Director for leading creative and design boutique Struck (www.struckcreative.com), announced that the agency has developed an innovative web site for leading cycling company Specialized.

Struck concepted and executed the Designs For Women site, www.d4wgear.com, with specific features in mind. The site provides a platform on which female riders can explore the latest trends in gear, find companionship through clubs, and receive “how-to” advice. Additionally, the full-flash site is complete XML fed, which allows for the entire site to be repopulated with nearly any language and compliments the client’s worldwide markets.

"The D4W site is an exercise in beauty wrapped in functionality, " says Goodwin. "Users can sit back and relax while navigating through various outfits and environments, which is actually a very zen-like experience. Yet the way the site is cross-referenced and hyper-linked causes it to be a very effective resource as well."

Struck previously created Suspension Sciences (www.specialized.com/suspension) for Specialized. The experiential microsite was a perfect blend of 3-dimensional and traditional animation, and was designed to showcase the company’s new line of suspension bikes. Both sites are part of a national campaign developed with Goodby, Silverstein & Partners.
